Black Mountain Water Park — Hua Hin

⏱️ Time needed: Half a day📅 Best time: Hot months (March to May) and any midday when you need to cool off.

When the heat becomes too much, Black Mountain is the family escape valve. Part of a larger golf and residential resort on the western edge of town, it is a well-kept water park with a wave pool, a long lazy river, and a cluster of proper slides including some steep, fast ones for teenagers. The grounds are green and tidy, with plenty of loungers, shade and a poolside cafe, so parents can relax while children wear themselves out. It rarely feels as crowded as the big-city water parks, especially on weekdays. There are height and swimming-ability thresholds on the bigger slides, and lifeguards are on duty. Bring your own towels to save on rental, and reapply sunscreen often since there is little natural shade over the water. It pairs well with the vineyards and adventure activities in the same inland area if you are making a day of it away from the beach.

💡Tip: Go on a weekday to dodge the local weekend crowds and shorter slide queues.
